Apply & Test for Glendale Police Officer Recruit in 2026

The 2026 Police Officer Recruit Testing Calendar provides multiple opportunities throughout the year to apply and participate in the selection process.

Applicants must apply to an open Police Officer Recruit bulletin on GovernmentJobs.com by the listed closing date for the testing cycle they wish to participate in. Each testing cycle includes a scheduled Physical Agility Test (PAT) at Glendale Community College (GCC), a written examination (NTN), and a preliminary background questionnaire, as indicated on the 2026 testing calendar.

Human Resources will email eligible applicants directions, a map to the testing location, and a parking permit prior to their scheduled test date.

Candidates who successfully pass the Physical Agility Test and written examination will be invited to participate in an oral interview on the corresponding oral exam date listed for that testing cycle.

Additionally, Police Officer Recruit / Police Officer Lateral testing (for lateral applicants only) will be offered during designated testing periods throughout 2026. Lateral applicants will be scheduled directly for the oral examination dates listed on the calendar.
