Officer Edgar Zabunyan born and raised in Yerevan, Armenia.

Moved to the United States at 17, started law enforcement as a California Highway Patrol explorer at West Valley Division.

Bachelor's (2006) and Master's degrees (2010) in Criminal Justice and Security.

Twice nominated with MADD awards for his DUI arrests.

Lateralled to Glendale Police Department in 2014, worked in Patrol Division, then transferred to Community Impact Bureau as School Resource Officer (SRO) at Hoover Herbert High school in 2016.

Currently assigned to Downtown Policing Unit and a member of recruitment cadre

Fluent in Armenian and Russian languages.

Represented the department in numerous television shows, news conferences, and community-related events.

Officer Albert Nazaryan

Albert Nazaryan graduated from the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Custodial Officer Academy, Class 94
-
The academy training includes academics, law, physical training, defensive tactics, live fire, proper communications, intervention, custodial laws, and rules set by the State of California and Federal Law.

Albert's interest in law enforcement began when he joined the Glendale Police Department's Law Enforcement Explorer Program during his freshman year of high school.

After high school, he became a Glendale Police Cadet and took his next step to full-time employment as a Custody Officer in July 2017.
-
He completed his formal training and certification after six months of experience in the jail.

He will now work as a full-time custodial officer at the Glendale City Jail.
Officer Ashraf “Ash” E. Hanna
-
Officer Hanna is a lateral transfer from the Los Angeles Police Department.

He was born in Egypt and moved to the United States when he was 21 years old.

He obtained his AS degree in Criminal Justice from Glendale Community College.

Ash worked a variety of jobs including a security guard, customer service at Starbucks, and a business banker.
-
After college, he was hired by the Los Angeles Police Department where he served for six years and received many commendations.

Ash is a proud resident of Glendale and an active member of the Coptic Orthodox Church.

In his spare time, he enjoys running, fishing, martial arts, and regularly donates blood to Children's Hospital.
DNA Specialist Michelle Metchikian

DNA Specialist at the Verdugo Regional Crime Laboratory (VRCL) within the Glendale Police Department.

BS in Biology with a minor in Biochemistry from Loyola Marymount University and an MS in Forensic Science with a Forensic Biology concentration from Michigan State University.

Started at the VRCL since 2014 as an intern, then a DNA technician and later a full-time DNA Specialist.

Worked on around 500 cases, including a cold case homicide from 1993.

Outside of work, Michelle is the VP of the Glendale Parks and Open Space Foundation, a youth leader at church, a Glendale Trail Safety Patrol member, and a volunteer ski instructor in Mammoth.
